Good news - last night I actually received bonus points for shows for the first time since the update. Also, I am able to play viggle live if I play on the east coast time - it is only when I play on mountain or pacific that I get the 0 points - you already answered this question problem.
Just thought I would share what I have figured out so far.
1. Viggle works better (not by much) if you use it via a wifi connection.
2. Viggle works A LOT better after midnight & before 10am EST. Can anyone say portal traffic issue?
3. When the auto play on commercials doesnt work, which is most of the time, its easier & quicker to manually watch the commercials. Go to "my shows", "check ins" & open each show you have checked into. Tap the 2+ Watch & Be Rewarded. In the early days of Viggle all commercials were only 2 points.
4. If you are using Viggle exclusively to earn points, well good luck with that. You can earn more points quicker by using other Perk apps such as PERK POP QUIZ. You earn 2-4 points per game & they add up quick. I like trivia so this is a good game for me, there are lots of categories & levels, & questions dont repeat often.
5. The bonus points for shows are as follows. You get 2 points for regular commercial breaks but for bonus shows its 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x the regular commercial break or 4, 6, 10 or 20 points respectively for each commercial break - if you can get it to work. For example EDC was 10x bonus points, 15 breaks @ 20 pts each = 300 bonus points. I checked in @ midnight (the magic hour) & it worked great.
6. In the past week since the conversion Ive been able to earn 2000 Perk points which has allowed me to convert 40,000 Viggle points to Perk in addition to the 60,000 we were originally allowed to convert on the 1st day.
If anyone else has tips or tricks to help maximize points, please share your success story with the rest of us. I hope this helps, good luck.
Perk announced that you can only convert a max of 140,000 points per month now. I have 2.5 million points so it will take me into retirement to fully convert what I've already earned ha.
Since the Viggle followers had no choice on the conversion of Viggle to Perks, I think we all got screwed. It should have been arranged from the very beginning that ALL viggle points were converted totally and automatically without having to spread it out over years and years. I have close to 5 million Viggle points, can you imagine how long it will take me to convert my points? Also the value of Viggle points should NOT have been reduced - should have been equal in dollar value not extremely less. All of us have spent hours and hours doing Viggle and then Viggle Representatives left us all out in the COLD! To me it appears that the personnel in Viggle were out for what they could get not looking out after the customers that followed Viggle. The Personnel of Vigge should have fought for more rights/benefits of their customers.
